Miami International Autodrome
Miami International Autodrome
Track Sectors
A heavy braking zone at Turn 1 into a stop-start complex through Turns 2–6 — mostly 90-degree geometry and low grip.
Long run down to the chicane under the causeway followed by the fastest section of the lap around the stadium.
Tight, technical Turns 13–16 where lap time is lost — traction onto the back straight sets up the main overtaking zone.
About Miami International Autodrome
The Miami International Autodrome is an uncommon hybrid — not truly a street circuit, but not permanent either — assembled around the Hard Rock Stadium each May. The surface combines fresh tarmac with older car-park asphalt, producing low initial grip and aggressive front-tyre graining. Overtaking is concentrated at Turn 17 into Turn 1 using the long DRS zone, with the stadium and marina providing the spectacle.
Tom Brady, David Beckham and a fake marina set the tone for Miami's Hollywood debut. Verstappen passed Leclerc at Turn 1 to win the first Miami Grand Prix.
Starting ninth on hards while the rest of the front bolted on softs, Verstappen ran a long opening stint, came out clear after the safety car, and reeled in the McLaren and Aston Martin to win.
After 110 starts, Lando Norris took his maiden F1 victory in Miami, helped by a late safety car. The win marked McLaren's return to the top step and shifted the title fight's shape.
