Track Sectors
The opening complex around the Sphere and Caesars Palace — 90-degree corners with plenty of run-off, unusually wide for a street circuit.
The long back straight along Koval Lane — one of the fastest stretches of the season, with a serious DRS advantage.
Down the Strip itself, past the Bellagio and Paris Las Vegas, into a heavy braking zone at the final hairpin.
About Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit runs directly down Las Vegas Boulevard past the Sphere, Bellagio and Caesars Palace. It is a fast, wide street circuit by F1 standards — long sequences of straights rather than narrow wall-lined sections — with top speeds among the highest of the year. The Saturday-night race time accommodates the city's tourism schedule, and cold track temperatures create graining and warm-up challenges typical of cold-climate night racing.
Carlos Sainz's Ferrari was destroyed when a manhole cover lifted under his car eight minutes into the very first practice session. The session was cancelled, FP2 ran into the early hours, and the inaugural weekend nearly came off the rails before the first race.
After a cautious start to the inaugural Strip race, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc traded the lead three times across 50 laps. Verstappen took it for the final time with two laps remaining for one of the better races of the season.
George Russell led from pole to flag for a dominant Mercedes 1-2 with Lewis Hamilton in second. The result was a season-late high point for a Mercedes team that had struggled all year.
