How it works

Pick a game
Choose from eight duels — quick trivia and reactions, or a full multi-lap race you can run over 1, 3, 5 or 10 laps.

Challenge a member
See who's online in the Arena, or use the dock that follows you across the site. Challenge them, or share a private link to play a friend.

Play live
You both get the same challenge at the same instant. Answer fastest, react first, out-drive your rival — the winner is decided on the spot.

Never lose a match
Refresh or drop out briefly and you reconnect straight back into the same duel. Lap times and results are tracked as you go.

What is Live Duel?
Live Duel is Pitbrain's real-time 1v1 arena. You challenge another member to a head-to-head F1 game — trivia, team-radio guessing, Top Trumps, the daily word or a wheel-to-wheel race — and play it live, at the same instant, on the same content.
Which games can I play head-to-head?
Eight so far: Trivia Duel, Radio Check, Reaction Duel, Grid Cards (Top Trumps), Lights Out (F1 Wordle), Hot Lap Duel, Wet Lap Duel and Track Design Duel — race a circuit you designed yourself or a randomly generated one.
How do I challenge someone?
Open the Arena, pick a game, and challenge anyone who's online — they get a prompt and you both drop straight into the match. You can also challenge from any game's page, or use the Arena dock that shows who's online across the site. No one online? Share a private link and play the moment they join.
Do I need an account?
A free Pitbrain account lets you see who's online and challenge members directly. Anyone can play via a shared challenge link, no account required.
Is it free?
Yes — every duel is free to play. No subscription, no in-app purchases.
What if my connection drops mid-duel?
Refresh or a brief drop won't lose the match: your slot is held for a short grace period and you reconnect straight back into the same duel, right where you were.
