How do I play Overtake?

You're shown two F1 drivers. One driver's career race-win total is revealed; for the other, you guess whether it's higher or lower. Get it right and your streak grows and the game rolls on; get it wrong and the run ends. Keep going as long as you can and chase your best streak.

Where do the win totals come from?

Real career race wins. Current grid figures come from Pitbrain's live stats, and legends (Schumacher, Senna, Prost, Fangio and more) are pulled from the official historical record — so the numbers are accurate.

What happens on a tie?

If both drivers have the same number of career wins, either answer counts as correct — you're never caught out by a coin-flip you couldn't know.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Overtake is free to play with no login, and your best streak is saved locally on your device.

Which drivers are included?

The current Formula 1 grid plus a roster of all-time greats, so you'll be comparing today's stars against legends of the sport.

Overtake F1 Higher or Lower

Which driver has more career wins? Guess higher or lower, build a streak, and see how far down the grid — and the history books — you can go.

How to play

Two drivers, one question: does the hidden driver have more or fewer career wins?

One driver's career-win total is shown; tap Higher or Lower for the other.
Right answer → your streak grows and that driver carries forward against a new challenger.
Wrong answer ends the run. A tie always counts as correct.
The pool mixes the current grid with all-time legends — real, accurate win totals.

Endless — chase your best streak. Your record saves locally; no login needed.

Scoring

A streak game — each correct higher-or-lower call extends it, one wrong call ends the run. Ten in a row is a respectable score; the leaderboard is decided by the longest streak, not total correct, so caution beats volume.

Tips for a better score

Era matters more than fame. Drivers from the 1950s ran far fewer races, so raw win counts under-represent them.
Multiple champions cluster: if a name has four or more titles, career wins are almost always above 25.
Modern midfield drivers can have long careers and zero wins — do not confuse longevity with success.
When genuinely unsure, favour the driver who raced in a dominant car for at least two seasons.

The Formula 1 behind overtake

Career win counts are the crudest measure of a Formula 1 driver, and the most argued-about. The numbers are shaped as much by machinery as talent — which is exactly why the comparison is interesting.
