How do I play Hot Lap?

You drive a single flying lap on a real F1 circuit. The car follows the racing line — you control only throttle and brake. Hold the throttle down the straights and brake for the corners; carry too much speed into a corner and you run wide, scrubbing time. The fastest clean lap wins.

What are the controls?

On desktop: Up arrow (or W) for throttle, Down arrow (or S) to brake. On mobile: hold the right half of the track to accelerate and the left half to brake. There's a mute toggle in the corner.

Which circuit do I drive?

A real Formula 1 circuit that rotates daily, with its racing line traced from actual F1 telemetry. The coloured line shows where you can go fast (green) and where you must slow down (red).

What is the ghost car?

Once you set a best lap, a translucent ghost replays it alongside you on your next run so you can see exactly where you're gaining or losing time. The live delta shows whether you're ahead of or behind your best.

Do I need an account?

Tips for a better score

Nail the slow corners first — a tenth lost at low speed compounds down the following straight.
Be smooth with inputs; sharp corrections scrub speed you never get back.
