Circuit IFEMA Madrid
Circuit IFEMA Madrid
Track Sectors
A fast run from the start-finish straight through the first complex of corners — medium to high-speed transitions on the opening sector.
Technical middle sector with a banked corner unique to Madrid, and a series of direction-change passages that load front tyres heavily.
Final sector flows onto the pit straight via a long-radius curve — overtakes will be defined by the tow approaching the line.
About Circuit IFEMA Madrid
Circuit IFEMA Madrid is a brand-new hybrid street-and-permanent circuit threading 22 corners through a purpose-built section and on-street lengths in the Valdebebas neighbourhood. A banked corner — the first of its kind for the FIA on a new-spec circuit — sits in the middle sector. Madrid's mix of flat-out straights and technical infield is intended to deliver the overtaking that Barcelona has historically struggled to produce.
The Spanish Grand Prix returns to Madrid for the first time since 1981 with a wholly new circuit — and the first FIA-spec banked corner on a new layout. Until the cars run on it for real, the editorial story of the Madrid era is yet to be written.
